Day Care Centre

Supplementary to the school, a day-care centre was built up in 2003, facilitated through the financial support of Migros, a number of private donors and public funds. Parallel to compulsory attendance in Migros-School, the day-care centre will be intensively looked after to help the children developing a strong sense of community.

The project objectives

The day-care centre will give 80 children the opportunity to become once more an integral part of a social group. From an educational point of view, their development is secured. A range of services will react to social (food, health care, education) and their psychological needs. At the same time the children will be brought up to fully develop their talents and learn how to accept obligations and responsibility to the community. It is the project’s overall objective to enhance the children’s chances for a just childhood and adolescence. By means of a secured education in a protected environment the children and youth shall learn to take a step forward to their own independence.
