The Champions of Migros KIDS School

Since 2007 some pupils of Migros KIDS School have been showing enthusiasm in different athletic disciplines, as they had been inspired by their motivating teachers. After several years of intensive training, some pupils are showing great athletic successes, as a small group of them is now allowed to present its athletic efforts on the national scale.
Especially A. Dharun, a quiet and timid boy who is attending the 10th grade, has demonstrated outstanding achievements. He is already considered to be a real champion and always performs exceptionally in competitions. His last competition was in Calcutta where he earned the silver medal in 400 metres twice – an enormous success for himself and Migros KIDS School as a whole.
Dharun’s sister is also an accomplished sportswoman, especially in volleyball and in 100 metres. Together, they make up a great team making their teachers very proud of them!
Still, they both want to continue with their training in order to achieve further victories in the future. And if they keep winning, they have the chance that their athletic merits might even pay off in an offer for studying at university and thus, to receive a chance for building up a bright and prosper future!

Zonal Sports Event 2011 at Migros KIDS School

We are delighted to inform about the excellent results in the first phase of the Zonal Sports Meeting 2011 at the Migros KIDS School, particularly in soccer, volleyball and kho-kho.

The second phase will start in September and for this phase, we received special donations from the companies Fulchand and Gaurav which allows us to cover most expenses. Thanks a lot!

We wish all participants from all schools a lot of success.

Dental Health Care and Blood Donations

As in past years, all kids from Migros KIDS School have again been given the opportunity to visit a dentist.

Unfortunately, due to financial shortcuts many children have not been able to attend a doctor’s office. For this reason, medical checks for all children, including the youngest, are carried out in regular intervals. In case of more severe problems appear the children are transferred to a doctor’s office, in which these problems can be attended appropriately.

As in past years, the teachers of Migros KIDS School have also participated in a large blood donation campaign.

New Learning Methods in Tirupur

The learning and teaching methods at Migros KIDS School are constantly being improved and complemented. Teachers receive additional training and their dedication to develop the school further is enormous. Coaching in the classes is consequent and leads to excellent results. This success becomes most visible in the progressing achievements of the students.

On Saturdays, additional learning activities are being carried out. The offered courses include Yoga, Dancing and Sports. Children, who require special attendance because they experience difficulties in regular courses, may receive supplementary instruction. For this purpose, new books will soon be available in the library.

The school’s clearly defined aim is to become the best school in the region, and in order to accomplish this ambitious aim, the school wants to improve the pupils’ level of English and English shall increasingly be the popularly spoken language on campus. For this initiative, the school’s direction and a group of teachers encourage teachers and children to communicate in English in everyday situations and in a playful way.
