In the first provisional, the school enrollment of more than 200 working children was made possible.
At this point, the involved persons realized that only an own school with a special tailored pedagogical concept would provide adequate education for children coming from a difficult surrounding. mehr »
Migros - Day Care Centre
Day Care Centre
Supplementary to the school, a day-care centre was built up in 2003, facilitated through the financial support of Migros, a number of private donors and public funds. Parallel to compulsory attendance in Migros-School, the day-care centre will be intensively looked after to help the children developing a strong sense of community.

Migros has always paid special attention to the problem of child labour. However, this problem can not be solved by bans alone. The families in the developing world who send their children to work need this money to survive. Migros looked for new ways to solve this dilemma.

The school grounds are more and more assembled and constructed. This includes the allowance for a new, additional water tank as well as sanitary facilities on the top floor. If the sports ground is redeveloped within the next few weeks, the infrastructure of the school can be considered as completed.
Extention of the personnel
The school-staff was increased what became necessary because of a total number of 1011 kids participating. The principal now has support from a vice principle and a head mistress while the non-teaching staff has a supervisor.
